Based on solid research
Innovation audit with ProBE® is based on
Dr. Cooper's research and his analyses of over 2000 projects and more
than 400 companies in both Europe and North America. There is a world elite of
particularly innovative companies, namely the top 20% that generate the best
business from their new products. The product development productivity - the
output for a given input - is markedly higher in these top 20% companies.
Cooper and his colleagues found strong correlations between high performance
and a number of working methods - the so-called best practices. ProBE® allows you to compare your company's innovation performance and practices against both the industry average and the international elite in our research database.
Our ongoing data collection secures you up-to-date benchmarking results
Cooper's trail-blazing research and writing started in the 1970s. For over 25 years, his results have been published in leading journals and in his books.
Several of Cooper's articles have been awarded.
The idea and the first ProBE® model were developed by
Jens Arleth in 1993. Later Jens Arleth,
Robert G. Cooper, and Scott Edgett jointly developed ProBE® further.
In 2004 a special model -- MicroProBETM -- was developed in
cooperation with the Confederation
of Danish Industries. ProBE® is regularly updated based on
the ongoing research and our practical work with innovation benchmarking and
improving performance of companies in many countries.
